I’m absolutely delighted to find out today that one of my entries to the BBC’s Your Pictures feature on the theme of Night Vision has been selected for their gallery.
I love the work of American artists such as Ed Ruscha and Edward Hopper and during the early stages of lockdown, I tried to recreate the atmosphere of some of their work using a newly built service station as my subject that’s just up the road from where I live.
It’s really worth a look to see more of the incredible photos published in the Night Vision article on the BBC website.
I came here because I saw your photo on the BBC website. Impressive light control. What set-up did you use, and how did you get the lighting right? Excellent!
Hi Ieuan – thanks so much for the comments, I really appreciate it! I use a Fujifilm X-T3 and XF18-135mmF3.5-5.6R LM OIS WR lens. For this shot, I used a 3-image bracketed series, +/- 2/3 exposure. Other details are ISO 200, f/22 and 3 seconds exposure time.
I hope that helps!
