I submitted shots to the SheClicks challenge for April 2026 on the time of Orange and thought I should start sharing these challenge images on my website. The above image is a response to a poem entitled “A Greeting” that I created as a part of the Multiple Exposures of Poetry workshop, led by Janina Wilde.
Good morning, Life–and all
Things glad and beautiful. My pockets nothing hold, But he that owns the gold, The Sun, is my great friend– His spending has no end.
from “A Greeting” by William Henry Davies
The challenge permits up to five images. I had two that featured quite stark, orange-hued subjects so I chose to turn the backgrounds mono in both case to emphasise the colour.

I take a lot of landscape shots, especially when Im travelling, so I included a peachy-mauve sunset shot from a trip to Kerala in November 2025. I was on a peaceful sunset boat trip around the Munroe Island backwaters where we saw the most dreamy sunset views.
Finally, a shot of the almost salmony-pink columns with a lifebuoy ring along the Liverpool quayside.
